• Utilize computerized Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to measure and record part dimensions. • Perform inspection operations to ensure work is performed in a timely manner in accordance with Standard Practice instructions and customer requirements. • Identify and load proper tooling and fixtures to machines for inspection operations. • Assist in creating new and maintaining existing fixtures. • Ensure that equipment is functioning properly, including daily checks and scheduled preventive maintenance for all Repair CMMs. • Assist in advising revisions of existing programs and the creation of developmental and experimental functions. • Assist in developing process improvements that reduce hours, scrap, and rework. • Review job inspection plans with technical support personnel to discuss methods, procedures, and equipment and ensure job documentation is complete, and critical data is recorded on appropriate forms. • Maintain 5S standards and equipment including assisting with scheduled preventive maintenance for all Repair CMMs. • Ability to learn writing part inspection programs to support new or existing CMM equipment and technologies using the appropriate programming techniques and language based upon the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Experience/Prerequisites Comfortability with computers required. Prefer a minimum of 5 years experience in a machine shop or repair shop.
