HR Manager
Onsite – North Carolina (2 Locations)
An established manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced, highly engaged HR Manager to serve as a trusted partner to plant leadership. This is a priority hire supporting approximately 300 employees across two North Carolina locations.
This is a hands-on, onsite role for an HR leader who thrives on being close to the business, visible on the production floor, and actively involved in supporting both employees and leadership. The HR Manager will balance strategic perspective with daily execution, ensuring HR practices are compliant, practical, and aligned with operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Partnership & Workforce Support
Serve as the primary HR partner to site leadership, advising on employee relations, performance management, and organizational effectiveness
Support workforce planning, staffing strategy, and succession planning efforts
Maintain a visible, approachable HR presence across both facilities
Talent & Performance
Partner with leaders on recruiting strategies for hourly and salaried roles
Support onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives
Guide performance management discussions, including coaching leaders through corrective actions and development planning
Employee Relations & Compliance
Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Promote consistent, fair HR practices across both sites
Culture, Engagement & Change
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
Support employee engagement initiatives and strengthen communication and accountability
Partner with leadership to navigate organizational changes effectively
HR Operations & Team Leadership
Lead and develop a small HR team to ensure strong service delivery
Utilize HR systems to track, manage, and report workforce data
Partner with corporate or shared services teams as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HR leadership role
Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred
Solid knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
Experience partnering directly with plant or site leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Workday and/or Dayforce preferred
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred

Approximately 25% travel between locations and meetings
