Job Summary:

 Job Summary:

The RTO Collections Clerk is involved in performing the collection of accounts and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and update of reporting and accurate records. The role will reconcile customer accounts, take payments by phone, and provide excellent customer service to our external and internal customers.   • Reconcile customer accounts. 

  • Submit necessary collection letters and repossession notifications. 

  • Perform other tasks and projects requested by the Accounting Analyst and Manager. 

 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Journal Entries

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 

  • Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to quickly learn Leonard’s internal operating system. 

  • At least 1–2 years of customer service in collections

  • Valid driver’s license. 

  • Excellent organizational skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal (phone) and written.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Essential Functions:
Legal Assistant or Paralegal

  • Know basics of civil court system,

  •  Quickly pick up both hard and soft filing systems

  • Ensure completion of payroll/billing procedures to meet weekly deadlines.

  • Code and ensure proper approval of cash expenses and motel receipts.

  • Validate all work orders being invoiced.

  • Entry and invoicing of assigned unit billing jobs.

  • Monitor unbilled charges in Work Completed Not Billed (WCNB). Requires maintenance of Excel spreadsheet. Also requires explanation of charges.

  • Monitor aged Accounts Receivable for unpaid invoices and correspondence with customers to collect unpaid invoices.


Minimum Requirements:

High School graduate or higher education.

  • Temp to hire

  • Preferably have experience with Peachtree accounting software, or other similar program

  • Proficient in  OFFICE 365

  • Must have Business Law Experience

  • honest, reliable and have a good phone preference with good communication skills
