We are seeking an individual with experience and executive-level industry knowledge to oversee multiple construction projects from start to finish. This position will be heavily focused on hospitals, private commercial buildings, higher education facilities, and more.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial drywall & metal stud framing construction projects. They will use established skills in support of the field team to successfully manage awarded proposals through completion including negotiating pricing with vendors, completion of submittals and RFI’s, ordering material & equipment, attending job meetings as required, pricing change orders, monitoring job schedules and completing closeout documents. He or she will develop competitive and on-time cost change estimates using our Estimating Software and on-screen takeoff while building relationships with both new and existing customers. Honesty, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and work well with colleagues is essential. This role follows the standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating that have been established.

Commercial Construction Estimator

We are a commercial metal stud and drywall contractor servicing North Carolina and Virginia and we’re looking to expand our team by hiring an experienced commercial estimator. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically specializing in metal framing and drywall projects of more than 1m dollars. This position will be focused on hospitals, private commercial, higher education facilities, and mixed-use. The position of Estimator is responsible for reviewing project documents before bid completing quantity take-offs and preliminary engineering designs, estimating labor hours for various phases of project construction, developing budget pricing for upcoming projects, communicating with internal construction superintendents to develop firm fixed price estimates for competitively bid projects and developing and maintaining relationships with external consulting engineers and owners. 


MUST have the following qualifications:

  • Engaged in pre-construction efforts for the scope of work. 
  • Produced detailed estimates for many different project and contract types, each requiring unique attention to detail and extensive communication with the project teams. 
  • Created proposals with detailed specific clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions. 
  • Can interpret bid documents, construction plans, schedules, and specifications. 
  • Handled multiple project estimates on tight deadlines. 
  • Maintained a database of cost information (historical cost analysis of labor and equipment rates).
  • Provided mentorship to estimating staff and interns.
  • 3+ years of relevant estimating experience on commercial drywall projects and a bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to build budgets and schedule of values with input from the Project Manager. 
  • A successful track record of bidding and winning ground-up and renovation projects. 
  • Working knowledge of estimating software. 
  • Prior experience with midsize to large commercial projects. 
  • Ability to read architectural/structural plans and specs   Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. 

Project Manager

•Responsible for the overall profitability of their projects. Ensures proper timelines and all requirements are met for all projects. Ensures billing, change orders, collections, etc. are completed in a timely manner for each project.
