Sort materials or finished product according to prescribed categories, codes or destinations.
Build pallets or packages of sorted items, ensuring correct quantities and proper stacking.
Assist with moving or staging product for shipping, storage or next-process steps.
Monitor assigned area for accuracy, quality issues and any damaged or mis-sorted items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area; ensure pallets/trays are properly labelled and ready for forklift or other equipment pick-up.
Follow all safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.
Work on a production schedule/shift, meeting quantity and quality goals, including standing or walking for long periods, occasionally lifting or moving items (as required) and may involve weekend or overtime shifts.
Collaborate with supervisor, teammates and other departments to meet the needs of workflow and deadlines.
