JOB TITLE: Winding Operator POSITION SUMMARY: Operates a machine to wind products of varying sizes and styles based on company needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • The specific duties depending on material you are producing. Operating computer programs or machinery, loading and unloading materials, performing quality control checks, and making minor repairs to the equipment. Fill out inspection, work orders and process records.Operates machinery to wind yarn or wool onto spools, bobbins, or into hanks.
Threads freshly dyed yarn into the winding machine and runs a computer program to wind it.
Performs quality checks and completes minor repairs on the machinery.
May be required to lift heavy bundles of yarn • Other tasks as assigned by Management. • Maintains the cleanliness of the general working area and machinery. • Other duties as assigned by management. • Enjoy practical and manual work. • Able to work as part of a team and without direct supervision • Able to produce product to defined specifications. • Able to work under production deadlines. • Must have excellent hand and eye coordination. • Must be able to read tape measure and use measurement gauges. • Must have a keen sense to detail.
