Job Summary

The Forklift Operator / Kitchen Attendant is responsible for safely transporting and receiving materials, supporting production processes, maintaining accurate inventory records, and keeping designated work areas clean and organized. This position requires the safe operation of a sit-down forklift, use of computers and scanners, and handling of materials in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a sit-down forklift to safely ship, receive, and transport goods to assigned locations.
  • Use computers, scanners, and digital systems to track inventory and process material transactions.
  • Add materials to the production process as needed.
  • Receive, move, and organize materials according to production and inventory requirements.
  • Clean out Flavor Totes and maintain designated equipment and work areas.
  • Handle hazardous materials in accordance with company safety procedures and requirements.
  • Ensure materials are accurately identified, tracked, and delivered to the appropriate locations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
  • Perform other material-handling, kitchen attendant, and production-support duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and production environment and may involve exposure to hazardous materials, strong odors, dust, equipment noise, and other production-related conditions. Employees must be comfortable working around materials and equipment used in the production process.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift.
  • Experience working with computers, scanners, and inventory systems.
  • Strong math, communication, and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
