Position Title: Project Assembly Specialist – Print Line

Job Description/Position Purpose: Performs duties related to the disassembly, assembly and repair of project units as required by special projects. Individuals with a natural mechanical aptitude and the ability to problem solve perform well in this position.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

 

• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of assembly unit.

• Lies out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.

• Securely transport project assemblies to and from the designated storage area.

• May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.

• Perform mechanical disassembly, repair and assembly of project pieces.

• Following standard procedures will check for obvious defects, clean, adjust and replace parts as needed.

• Test the repaired product to ensure that it meets quality standards.

• Maintains appropriate repair records in the internal system.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

 

• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, solder iron, etc.

• Above average problem solving abilities.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds to waist, shoulder, overhead.

• Able to read and follow work instructions and assembly drawings.

• Good decision making, time management and ability to prioritize are required skills.

• Must be able to perform a variety of tasks while maintaining designated repair times.

• Good communication skills – verbal, written and data entry.

• Ability to follow both oral and written policies, procedures, and instructions.

• Prior experience in a production environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations required to perform the job in a safe manner.
