Set up and program CNC Machines • Read tape measure, calipers, and micrometers. • Ability to feed raw material or parts in machines. • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws. • Read/interpret and follow blueprints. • Regularly sustain physical capabilities throughout the day o Stand on concrete for extended periods of time. o Lift and move parts throughout the plant (up to 50 pounds). Must possess confidence, good judgment, energy and the right personality to work in a challenging environment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- • Fabrication experience desired. • Technical training desired but not necessary. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY • Attention to detail (Quality) – Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisors. • Flexibility. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed. • Relevant knowledge to look up blueprints, production orders, key parts into inventory, and use the system as a tool to assist in production. • Must perform operator preventative maintenance of equipment. • Perform other assignments as directed by management.
