Our client is a proud leader in the textile industry and has been producing fabric in the aircraft, railway and bus industries for over 100 years.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow all safety rules and wear required safety equipment
• Weigh and mix dyes and chemicals
• Fill machines with water, dyes, and chemicals
• Operator machine controls for proper dyeing
• Identify correct yarn type and count for dyeing
• Sample yarn, dry and condition
• Assist in loading yarn on carriers
• Assist in reviewing shade for proper match, add and make adjustments to dyeings
• Weigh, mix, and apply flame retardant as needed
• Neutralize dye bath, drop, and rinse
• Load/unload dye machine
• Any reasonable task assigned by supervisor
What You’ll Bring
• Reading, writing, basic math skills
• Ability to maneuver steps
• Ability to distinguish color variations
• Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
