Follow all safety rules and wear required safety equipment • Weigh and mix dyes and chemicals • Fill machines with water, dyes, and chemicals • Operator machine controls for proper dyeing • Identify correct yarn type and count for dyeing • Sample yarn, dry and condition • Assist in loading yarn on carriers • Assist in reviewing shade for proper match, add and make adjustments to dyeing • Weigh, mix, and apply flame retardant as needed • Neutralize dye bath, drop, and rinse • Load/unload dye machine • Any reasonable task assigned by supervisor What You’ll Bring • Reading, writing, basic math skills • Ability to maneuver steps • Ability to distinguish color variations • Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
