Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to perform blend repair, recontouring, deburring, removal of residual coating, and disassembly of turbine components. Perform blending and material removal with minimal supervision according to manufacturing and customer requirements.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Blending of Turbine Components
• Receive assignments, verbal and/or written, from supervision.
• Read and comprehend traveler, documents, key cards, and other specifications to gather work instructions.
• Use and maintain blending tools and equipment, including large belt sanders and die grinders.
• Recognize and replace spent consumable materials such as sanding belts and burrs at appropriate intervals.
• Route and blend turbine components conserving the original contour.
• Grit and visually inspect parts.

Experience/Prerequisites: This position requires a high school education or equivalent. Requires the ability to read, write, complete simple forms, and understand simple written instructions. Requires the ability to perform math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; also requires the simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, or diagram.

Entry level position requires experience working in an industrial environment. Knowledge of chemicals, grit-blasting, safe machine practices and techniques is beneficial. Ability to use handheld measuring tools.

Competency Expectations: With the above knowledge/skills, it is expected to take six (6) months maximum to become proficient in all the job responsibilities.
