KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of crew members in the installation of hardscapes, plantings, irrigation, lighting, and other landscape features.
- Read and interpret design plans, layout projects on-site, and ensure precise execution.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain project timelines and quality.
- Operate construction equipment such as skid steers and excavators safely and efficiently.
- Supervise site safety, cleanliness, and crew professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Train and mentor crew members, maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges in the field while maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
- Track job progress and provide regular updates as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in landscape installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, including hardscapes, plantings, lighting, and irrigation.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, measure accurately, and manage on-site logistics.
- Skilled in operating landscape construction equipment, including skid steers, excavators, and other machinery.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on team development and job quality.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Preferred certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- Certified Plant Professional
- Pesticide Applicator License
- ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) Certification
- Irrigation License or equivalent experience
