The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest luxury hospitality standards. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the laundry operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press hotel linens, towels, robes, and uniforms
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and pressing machines
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear and report issues as needed
- Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility
- Assist with inventory control of linens and laundry supplies
- Ensure timely turnaround of laundry to support housekeeping and guest needs
- Handle guest laundry requests with professionalism and attention to detail
- Adhere to hotel standards, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and equipment (training provided if needed)
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Work Environment
- Indoor laundry facility with exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
