General Role Description 

Ship and receive materials, and perform the physical/system movement of inventory and supplies in, out, and within warehouse operation. 


Technical Accountabilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming packages to ensure delivery meets requirements, and report exceptions to appropriate party 
  • Receipt inbound materials in the ERP system 
  • Enter shipping and receiving data and generate reports for management analysis 
  • Pull and pack material for shipment, ensuring domestic and international shipments meet export requirements 
  • Enter transactions in ERP system to accurately reflect inventory level 
  • Select appropriate carrier based on Preferred Carrier List, obtaining quotes directly from carrier when needed, and arranging remote shipments
  • Prepare and submit US government required filings online for international shipments
  • Prepare international documents in compliance with export regulations as needed
  • Move or deliver received shipments to specified destinations by specified timeframe
  • Deliver mail and material to warehouse and offices twice daily as scheduled
  • Determine warehouse supply needs and timing and report to appropriate party for ordering
  • Respond to after-hours shipping and warehouse needs on rotating phone duty
  • Prepare and file damage and shortage claims as needed
  • Perform inventory counts as scheduled or requested
  • Relocate and remove material within warehouse and record in ERP as required
  • Review shipping and receiving documentation to ensure it is accurate and complete; notify appropriate party if inaccurate or incomplete; organize and file correct and complete documentation appropriately 
  • Inspect forklift and box truck daily in compliance with OSHA checklist, and report service needs to immediately supervisor 
  • Ensure company box truck has sufficient fuel to meet daily business needs 
  • Load and unload trucks 
  • Assemble and disassemble crates as needed for shipping and receiving 
  • Perform CTPAT security measures for container receipts and shipments 
  • Install software and firmware onto circuit boards 
  • Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager 
  • Ensure effective use of business processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • HSD or equivalent  
  • 6 months warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, and logistics 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory maintenance and carrier shipping 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with customers, suppliers, and other internal/external contacts 
  • Demonstrated successful and positive leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills 
  • Acceptable driving as required to drive company vehicle 
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. on a regular basis 
  • Demonstrated experience operating a forklift 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • AA degree in a related field 
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP system 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3rd party barcoding software, such as RFGen 
  • International logistics experience
