The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities at the Joyalways manufacturing facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe, efficient production operations. The manager will lead a team of technicians, manage preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate with other departments to maintain optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership & Team Management
o Supervise and develop maintenance staff; assign tasks and monitor performance.
o Provide training and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
o Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS.
o Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including PLC-controlled equipment.
• Facility & Equipment Oversight
o Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues.
o Plan and execute equipment upgrades, installations, and capital projects.
• Safety & Compliance
o Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
o Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Budget & Inventory Control
o Manage maintenance budgets and control costs.
o Oversee spare parts inventory and vendor relationships.
• Continuous Improvement
o Lead root-cause analysis for equipment failures.
o Drive initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and energy usage.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, and PLCs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors.
