Position Title: Assembler I
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Department: Warehouse
I. General Position Summary
The Assembler I assembles various types of fitness equipment and its sub-assemblies using basic hand tools with written and verbal instruction.
a. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
? Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, work instructions, assembly test sheets and verbal instructions.
? Ensure safe, careful use, treatment and maintenance of tools and equipment.
? Assemble various sub and final assemblies according to specification, using various hand tools.
? Assemble sub and final assembles at a pace that ensures a quality sub or final assembly, according to the production schedule.
? Inspect his/her and others work for defects using the final assembly inspection sheets.
? Reports any piece part, sub and or final assemblies' deficiencies to the Assembly Lead.
? Reports problems where the ability to recognize deviation from standard practices and processes.
? Be able to work with components with moderately close tolerances, and to differentiate one part from another.
? Participate in product or process improvement.
? Comply with all company and industry process safety procedures and practices.
? Performs other duties as assigned by management.
b. Specific Job Requirements
? Be able to work multiple stations.
? Be able to maintain an acceptable work pace throughout the day.
? Responsible for his/her own quality of workmanship.
? Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
? Use of basic hand tools such as air drivers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
? Good hand and finger dexterity.
? Self-motivated reliable team player. Must be dependable, on time.
? English speaking preferred (speak and writing/reading)
? Must have basic understanding of electronic or mechanical assembly
? Ability to work with minimum supervision.
? Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.
? Ability to lift 50 lbs.
? Ability to work mandatory overtime.

c. Education and Experience Requirements
? 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
? High School Diploma preferred.
