Job Title: Mending/Inspecting Client Profile Our client is a proud leader in the textile industry and has been producing fabric in the aircraft, railway, and bus industries for over 100 years. Key Responsibilities •Load the machine or table with a hoist or assistance. •Inspect fabric for defects, mend if possible. •Remove lint, dirt, or debris with compressed air. •Spot clean fabric using a cleaning gun and compressed air. •Conduct quality checks: Pattern Repeat, Pattern Direction, Width. •Measure yardage on each roll. •Mark defects per procedure. •Calculate customer compensation for damaged goods. •Reject rolls as needed for off-quality. •Check color consistency on finished goods. •Document data on tickets and in the database. •Print labels and send rolls to shipping. •Report questionable fabric to the weave room and QA. •Mend and prepare sample rolls. •Train new hires in mending and inspection. •Communicate with weaving, shipping, QA. •Keep the workspace clean. • Lift/move rolls up to 50 pounds with aid.
