Overview:
Make sure machines and plant equipment are clean and well maintained. Perform weekly, monthly and semi-annual maintenance checklists. Make mold changes and learn how to set-up the machine to start-up.
Safety:
• Set the example for plant safety.
• Lock-out and tag out equipment and understand how to isolate, air, hydraulic, and electrical energy before preforming work.
• Understand all plant safety rules and expectations.
Preventative Maintenance:
• Fill hydraulic oil in machines to proper level
• Check hydraulic temperatures to assure they are not too hot
• Grease tie bars, rack and moving parts
• Clean rods on program cylinders
• Replace and make hoses
• Replace grinder blades and bed knives
• Replace and make hydraulic hoses
• Maintain tower and chilled water systems
• Check and fill hydraulic accumulators with nitrogen
• Preventative maintenance on forklifts
• Preventative maintenance on scissor lifts
• Understand how to thread pipe and replace fittings
• Clean up after yourself.
• Able to make minor repairs to machines and molds
Mold set-up:
• Continuously learning and understanding the blow molding process and how to perform duties safely and efficiently
• Remove and install molds and head tooling
• Return bolts, dogs, hoses, and tools to proper place
• Inspect equipment during mold changes for items that need repair.
• Calibrate head tooling
• Calibrate mold thickness
• Enter new program for changes into machine
• Hook up air, water, and hydraulic hoses per the set-up sheet.
• Install heater band and know how to wire connector
• Fill out set-up sheets and update set-up sheets when necessary or if information is not complete.

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
