Job Specific:
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare production parts to the standard by performing hourly in process inspections (hourly audits)
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
• Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
• Ensures all reject parts are segregated appropriately by following the Control of Nonconforming Outputs Procedure
• Document defects on the rejection sheet.
• Collect all rejection sheets at the end of the shift from the operators and turn them in
• Completes production sheets.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled in accurately.
• Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
• Keep communication open with fellow quality technicians, quality manager, plant manager, quality engineer and production coordinator.
• Keep the quality area organized and clean.
• Attend weekly shift meetings.
• Suggest improvements to top management.
• The quality technician is not limited to this list, responsibilities and duties can be updated as seen fit.
