Position Summary:
Gildan is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Walkie Rider Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Eden, North Carolina. This position is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of power equipment, specifically a walkie rider, to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent spatial awareness, and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate a walkie rider (electric pallet jack) safely and efficiently to transport goods, materials, and finished products throughout the warehouse.
Load, unload, and stage materials for inbound and outbound shipments.
Accurately pick and stage orders according to work orders or instructions.
Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring proper storage and maximizing space utilization.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
Inspect the walkie rider daily for any mechanical issues or safety concerns and report them to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the equipment.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Collaborate effectively with other warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
