Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for 6 to 9 looms as assigned
- Repair filling and warp breaks
- Identify, repair, and/or report defects
- Check dye lot and size of fill and communicate needs to material handlers
- Doff and blow off machines
- Record down times and pick counts; set pick clock
- Discard waste selvage
- Prepare machines for next shift and communicate with them needs and problems
- Straighten crossed warps when possible
- Be aware of loose ends and lint mats
- Assist others when possible
- Assist in keeping weave room clean and organized
- Communicate with fixers to assist in finding faults with machines
- Record needed information on piece tickets
- Assist in making style changes and starting looms
- Perform duties relating to style changes and new warp start-up as assigned
- Any reasonable task assigned by supervisor
