Warehouse Supervisor
In this position, you will be the primary leader for shipping and receiving team members, ensuring that finished goods are retrieved from production, stored, and loaded for outbound shipments. You will also be responsible for all inbound raw materials to be processed correctly into the WMS system. Other responsibilities include managing inventory of finished goods as well as packaging supplies and supporting other business functions as required.
In the contract packaging, busy times can result due to project availability and deadlines. During these busy times, employees may be instructed to temporarily take on additional or new tasks that are not part of their normal jobs. The company expects its employees to perform these new or additional tasks when instructed and to a satisfactory level.
Duties and responsibilities
• Provide leadership and supervision of shipping employees across all shifts.
• Increases staff’s effectiveness by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating values, strategies, and objectives.
• Develop service procedures, policies and standards pertaining to the warehouse function
• Ensure employees perform job responsibilities correctly and safely, with a focus on scanning accuracy.
• Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are created and maintained accurately. This includes BOLs, Hold tags and associated documents for inbound and outbound inspections.
• Perform inventory cycle counts in the Finished Goods and Packaging Materials. Correct and follow-up on any inventory discrepancies in these areas. Maintain WMS inventory accuracy above 98% for both Finished Goods and Packaging Materials.
• Take ownership of Finished Goods inventory, ensuring that product is shipped properly and Hold product is handled according to guidelines and disposition.
• Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements.
• Develop improvement plans to increase efficiency in the shipping/receiving operation.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Shipping and Receiving areas.
• Perform shipping functions as needed, including driving a forklift.
• Ensure and promote compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements and Qualifications
Position Requirements Include:
• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Logistics; or equivalent experience with high school diploma/equivalency
• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role, high-volume drivers product lines preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Forklift driving experience – acquire or maintain forklift license on required equipment
