Job Title: Machine Operator- Packaging
Shift/Hours/Days:3rd shift, 6:45pm-7am 2,2,3 Rotating
Client Profile
The client is best known for manufacturing PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles and rigid packaging for some of the world’s largest food and beverage companies. The facility is recognized for its high-volume production, automation, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Part of the packaging team members as an operator.
• Working in a safe manner and identifies and corrects unsafe work practices.
• Ensures plant quality standards are being met and maintained.
• Runs a packaging machine or machines using written work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.
• Evaluates and improves skill level over time
• Troubleshoots and performs adjustments to the machines to correct improper functions.
• Assists with new machine setups.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Effectively communicates issues to the shift supervisor, and team members.
• Attends and participates in Packaging Team daily meetings.
• Ensures the department maintains a clean work environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. WORK ENVIRONMENT Job is performed near moving mechanical parts, requiring safety glasses to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. Good Manufacturing Practices are observed in all areas of the plant.
