Shift/Hours/Days: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Pay: $24–$26/hour | Overtime during busy seasons
Client Profile
Bring your craftsmanship to custom cabinets built for commercial spaces and event installations. Our client is seeking an experienced cabinet maker who enjoys turning a drawing into a finished piece. Join a small High Point shop focused on durable, quality cabinetry, working alongside carpenters, finishing technicians and painters. You will report to the Production Manager – Carpentry.
Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings; measure, lay out, cut and build custom cabinets and other wood components.
- Set up and safely operate table saws, chop saws, drill presses, routers, and hand and power tools.
- Build and repair cabinets, countertops, shelving and related fixtures; install hinges, drawer slides and other hardware.
- Prepare and apply plastic laminates and wood veneers, maintaining accurate measurements and quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with the shop team, adapt to changing project priorities and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 2 years of woodworking/carpentry experience, including hands-on custom cabinet building from drawings. Assembly-only or general handyman experience does not meet this need.
- Blueprint-reading ability, basic math skills, knowledge of wood materials and construction methods, and close attention to detail.
- A dependable work ethic, teamwork and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Commercial finishing and stain/paint experience is a plus.
Valid driver’s license; age 18 or older. Forklift experience or willingness to become certified. Ability to read and write basic English.
Work includes prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and 70 pounds occasionally, and exposure to shop noise, heat, cold and humidity, with some outdoor work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform essential functions.
