Control System Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of control systems for end-of-line test equipment for electro-mechanical products. The engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure that all products meet safety, performance, and efficiency standards.
What You Will Do
• Design, develop, analyze, test, and verify control systems.
• Integration and simulation of control systems and testing capabilities.
• Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) systems.
• Perform initial product acceptance testing and analyze test data to identify and address key product failures.
• Develop statistical analysis programs and apply that methodology to determine failure modes and implement continuous improvements for test capabilities and yield.
Education and/or Experience We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• In-depth understanding of control system design techniques.
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Controls and related techniques.
• Advanced experience and proficiency in programming with LabView.
Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with control panel design, panel wiring, and field wiring diagrams.
• Lean practices knowledge (Green-belt preferred).
• Electronics expertise, including troubleshooting to component level and understanding of analog and digital circuitry and circuit design.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Experience with microcontroller platforms (e.g., Arduino) and familiarity with PLC ladder logic.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (Serial, SPI, I2C, GPIB, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
