Summary:
This role is responsible for improving and maintaining the accuracy of inventory control systems in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will proactively manage inventory variances, ensure accurate reporting, and support operational efficiency through regular audits and system updates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Additional duties may be assigned.

  • Plan and execute cycle counts based on ABC classification within the ERP system (e.g., SAP).

  • Conduct physical inventory counts to identify and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Analyze and resolve inventory and production variances.

  • Enter and track daily cycle count results in the ERP system.

  • Maintain accurate material standards and bills of materials within the system.

  • Communicate cycle count results and corrections with Materials and Shipping departments.

  • Ensure finished goods tickets and pallet balances are accurately reflected in the system.

  • Scan and consume production tickets through a computerized interface.

  • Adhere strictly to company safety protocols.

  • Maintain communication with internal departments.

  • Keep work areas clean and follow general housekeeping procedures.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One to three months of related experience/training preferred.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating manuals, and procedure documentation.

  • Ability to write basic reports and communicate clearly with team members.

  • Comfort speaking before small groups is a plus.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Proficient in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to calculate percentages, rates, and ratios.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to non-standard situations.

  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, diagrams, and schedules.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid forklift certification (must meet OSHA requirements).


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.

  • Regular reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stair climbing required.

  • Frequent use of hands for product handling and operation of equipment.

  • Must be able to communicate with coworkers and respond to auditory signals in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.


Special Requirements:

  • Must have close, distance, peripheral, and color vision capabilities.


Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts; occasionally required to work at heights.

  • Safety glasses and hearing protection required.

  • Work performed in a high-noise environment that follows GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
