The First Shift Metal Finisher/Grinder is responsible for grinding, blending, and finishing metal parts to meet precise specifications and high-quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, consistent quality output, and the ability to safely operate hand grinders and other finishing tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Grind, sand, and polish metal parts using hand tools and power grinders
Remove weld spatter, sharp edges, and surface defects
Read and interpret work instructions or blueprints as needed
Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to quality standards
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Metal Finisher/Grinder – Second Shift
Shift Hours: 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM (Monday–Friday)
Location: Thomasville N.C
Job Description:
The Second Shift Metal Finisher/Grinder is responsible for performing precision grinding and finishing tasks on fabricated metal components. Working independently or with a small team, this role ensures all parts meet aesthetic and dimensional requirements before final processing or shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing work on metal parts
Operate hand grinders, belt sanders, and other finishing equipment
Conduct visual and measurement inspections for surface quality
Document work and communicate any discrepancies or defects
Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment as needed
