Job Title: General Laborer
Shift/Hours/Days: 1st Shift Flexible from 7am-4pm Monday-Friday Must be able to do Saturdays if needed and stay until the job is complete. Could be after 4pm.
Client Profile
Our client is known for growing premium, fresh tomatoes in a large, high-tech greenhouse. The company focuses on flavorful, vine-ripened tomatoes grown in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with planting, growing, maintaining, and harvesting tomato crops.
• Prune, trim, and support tomato plants as needed.
• Monitor plants for signs of disease, pests, or other growing concerns and report issues to supervisors.
• Remove leaves, maintain plant rows, and assist with general crop care.
• Harvest tomatoes according to quality and maturity standards.
• Handle plants and produce carefully to prevent damage.
• Sort, grade, and inspect produce to ensure it meets quality standards
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Use tools and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Pack produce into cartons, clamshells, or containers according to specifications
• Weigh, label, and palletize finished products for shipment
• Assemble packaging materials and maintain organized workstations
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of greenhouse, packhouse, equipment, and work areas
• Identify and remove damaged or defective product
• Report quality issues, safety concerns, or equipment problems to supervisors
• Work at a consistent pace to meet daily production goals
• Perform other duties as assigned.
