The Industrial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean production equipment and work areas to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment cleanliness, removing waste, restocking supplies, and supporting production by cleaning and replacing equipment components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift: 3rd shift- 12am-8am
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean production equipment and surrounding work areas using compressed air, vacuums, cloths, paper towels, brushes, brooms, dust pans, and putty knives
- Remove dust, debris, glue residue, and other materials from equipment and production areas
- Ensure equipment and workstations remain clean and organized throughout the shift
- Follow all cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Production Support
- Remove waste, cardboard, and other recyclable materials to designated disposal locations
- Restock equipment complexes with required supplies and water buckets
- Remove glue pots and other equipment components from production complexes
- Transport glue pots and equipment components to the Gummer Room for cleaning
- Return and replace cleaned equipment components to the appropriate production complex
- Support production operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and housekeeping standards
- Identify and report equipment or housekeeping concerns to leadership
- Assist with maintaining compliance with workplace cleanliness standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing, industrial cleaning, or production experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to safely use cleaning tools and equipment
- Ability to work safely around production equipment and machinery
