The Parts Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and staging parts from warehouse inventory using forklifts and turret trucks to support production operations. This role ensures that the correct parts are picked, verified, and delivered in a timely manner while maintaining quality and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Pick parts and components using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and turret trucks
Follow pick lists, invoices, or electronic systems to locate and verify materials
Ensure accuracy of part numbers, quantities, and order specifications
Inspect picked items for defects, damage, or discrepancies
Stage parts for production use in a timely and organized manner
Maintain accurate inventory movement and documentation
Collaborate with production, logistics, and inventory teams
Follow established procedures for material transfers
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Remain current on forklift certifications and safety training
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain forklift and turret truck certification
Warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication across departments
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to shifting priorities
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand on concrete for the entire shift
Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and walking
Ability to lift 50–70 lbs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
