Production/ Line lead

  • Supervise and lead material handlers involved in the handling materials (Cans, Lids, and Powder)
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks to ensure efficient production flow and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain clear communication with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams.
  • Provide hands-on support to the line during peak workloads or equipment downtime.
  • Observe and manage employee break schedules to ensure all associates adhere to assigned break times and maintain consistent line coverage.
  • Model professionalism, safety, and adherence to company policies and FDA regulations.
  • Oversee material staging, replenishment, and movement between production and warehouse areas.
  • Verify that all batches, packaging materials, and labels correspond to current production orders and batch records.
  • Monitor the lines for proper nicotine powder amount in hopper, cans and lids in hopper.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for supply issues quickly.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders to meet line production and client demands.
  • Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct in-process quality checks, including label verification, weight checks, and product appearance.
  • Ensure all nicotine-containing products are handled according to safety and contamination control standards.
  • Maintain traceability by ensuring accurate recording of lot numbers, batch codes, and expiration dates.
  • Report any deviations, product defects, or contamination concerns immediately to Quality Assurance.
  • Multitask to achieve quality assurance
  • Enforce PPE use, cleanliness, and proper storage of nicotine materials and chemicals.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and local safety regulations regarding nicotine handling and exposure.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of equipment, ventilation, and material handling areas.
  • Lead by example in promoting a safe and organized work environment.
  • Train line workers on product handling, warehouse equipment, and nicotine exposure protocols.
  • Coach employees on performance standards and provide feedback on efficiency and quality.
  • Cross-train team members for flexibility across packaging lines and warehouse tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement and employee skill development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for production output, material usage, and packaging line performance.
  • Ensure batch records, line clearance forms, and cleaning logs are filled out correctly and on time.
  • Communicate shift updates, production goals, and quality metrics to supervisors and incoming shifts.
  • Report downtime, equipment malfunctions, or shortages in real time to management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve packaging efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for any production deviations.
