Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator
Shift/Hours/Days: 1st shift, 5am-3:15pm Monday-Thursday
Client Profile
The client is best known for manufacturing high-performance, heat-resistant textiles and thermal insulation products used in demanding industrial applications. Rather than producing consumer fabrics, the company engineers specialize in materials that protect equipment and people in extreme temperatures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates a sewing machine to produce products of varying sizes and styles based on company needs. Will be cross trained on multiple sewing machines and products.
• Operates single needle sewing machines and guides material under needles, following edges, seams or markings.
• Assembles pieces using various sewing techniques.
- Set up and maintain industrial sewing machines.
- Examine sections of finished articles for defects and cut off excess material and threads.
- Assembles pieces or sews the whole product.
- Carries out basic maintenance of hand tools and machines.
- Maintains quality and quantity daily.
- Assist in helping other operators to maintain production and quality.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
- Fill out inspection, work orders and process records.
- Other tasks assigned by Management.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the general working area and machinery.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Enjoy practical and manual work.
