Weekend Shift 8:00 am to 8:00 pm – Saturday & Sunday
Efficiently moves, stacks, and secures merchandise, cargo, or materials onto trailers and trucks using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Key duties include scanning, inventory tracking, inspecting products for damage, and preparing shipments for transport, often in fast-paced warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload freight from trailers, containers, or trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
Inventory Management: Use scanning technology to log inventory, verify shipments, and update records.
Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or overhead cranes.
Organization: Stack and secure products to prevent damage during transit.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring a clean work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Physical Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy, bulky items, often up to 50+ pounds.
Stamina: Capacity to stand, bend, and work in varied temperatures for long shifts.
Experience: Previous warehouse, forklift, or shipping experience is frequently required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and basic computer skills for inventory systems.
Work Environment
Environment: Warehouse, loading docks, or distribution centers.
Schedule: Often requires flexibility for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.
