Responsible for overseeing warehouse operations related to pallet sortation, finished goods handling, receiving, inventory control, and material distribution. Provides leadership and operational support while ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and safe forklift operations.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the Pallet Sortation Attendant, Finished Goods Attendant, and Receiving Finished Goods Operator functions.
- Coordinate workflow activities to ensure timely movement and processing of materials and finished goods.
- Monitor operational effectiveness and address issues to maintain productivity and efficiency.
Material Handling & Distribution
- Oversee the staging, storage, and disbursement of materials throughout the facility.
- Ensure materials and finished goods are accurately received, stored, and distributed.
- Maintain organization of warehouse locations to support efficient operations.
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control
- Utilize MES scanners and computer systems to support shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor inventory movements.
- Verify receipt and shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, unload, and transport materials and finished goods.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns as needed.
- Adhere to all forklift and material handling safety requirements.
Leadership & Communication
- Provide guidance and support to team members performing warehouse and finished goods operations.
- Communicate effectively with production, shipping, receiving, and management personnel.
- Serve as a resource for operational questions and issue resolution.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse standards.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Monitor work areas for potential hazards and support corrective actions when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory control operations preferred.
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
- Proficiency with MES scanners, inventory systems, and computer applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
