Responsible for overseeing daily production operations during the assigned shift, ensuring production and quality objectives are achieved. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees, providing leadership, guidance, and effective communication while maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Management
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency goals are met.
- Coordinate with management to align staffing, production schedules, and operational priorities.
- Monitor workflow and address production issues to minimize downtime and maximize output.
- Fill in operational positions as needed to maintain continuity of operations.
Team Leadership & Employee Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees during the assigned shift.
- Ensure employees are following established job procedures and work instructions.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to promote employee development and performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication.
Performance Management
- Conduct 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, and annual employee performance evaluations.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in identifying training needs and implementing improvement plans.
Inventory & Administrative Support
- Utilize computers, scanners, and digital systems to support production and inventory tracking.
- Maintain accurate production records and inventory data.
- Support inventory control processes and monitor material usage.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained throughout production processes.
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and productivity.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience using scanners and inventory management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
