SUMMARY

Executes production plans to maximize on-time shipment and fill rates.  Controls inventory according to corporate goals and effectively deploys Renfro assets.  Possesses both an analytic background that enables the management of global planning and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 


•    Purchases cost effective supply of finished inventory to support assigned accounts.

•    Executes tasks necessary to manage process from strategy formulation to inventory delivery and customer order fulfillment.

•    Analyzes data from demand planning tools to make determinations for transferring demand into production orders and makes adjustments as needed.

•    Understands complexities and ever-changing variables of both domestic and international supply chains in regards to lead times for production, shipment transit, capacities, packaging, and general communications and vendor management and takes into consideration the impact on supply chain.

•    Utilizes internal special demand tools for new items, changing items and promotion requests to expedite implementation.

•    Manages inventory balance/optimization to properly deploy and protect Renfro assets.  

•    Achieves on-time service goals for assigned accounts, evaluating customer shortages against this goal.

•    Analyzes financial impact of rework and air shipments in accordance with department/corporate goals then decides on necessity of deploying these options.

•    Communicates with account partners – Sales, PD, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, etc.

•    Creates and identifies appropriate scenarios to facilitate decisions regarding alternative supply chain options across various vendors.

•    Manages projection variables and executes changes to enhance projection accuracy and effective production plans.

•    Performs any additional tasks or assignments requested by management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•    Secondary education and degree, either Associates or Bachelor’s, in operations, planning, supply chain, mathematics, finance, statistics, engineering, economics or related field.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

•    One year of relevant and related work experience.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with intermediate level with Excel.

•    Familiarity with standard forecasting concepts, practices and procedures.

•    Must have exceptional attention to detail with proven critical thinking skills.

•    Ability to develop strategic objectives and drive tactical plans to achieve objectives.

•    Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to move multiple projects forward in a constructive and positive manner.

•    Must be able to work unsupervised and thrive in a stressful environment; ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Minimal physical demands, such as occasional bending, stooping and walking.  Requires frequent computer work.  Consistent daily attendance required; occasional off-shift support required.  Occasionally required to travel domestically to other office locations.
