Position: Splicing Technician

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Shift:1st Shift 


Why This Role Matters


The Splicing Technician supports the manufacturing process by accurately joining materials and components according to established production specifications. This position helps ensure finished products meet quality requirements while contributing to a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.


Key Responsibilities


•Perform splicing operations on materials and components according to work instructions and production specifications.

•Ensure completed splices meet company quality standards and customer requirements.

•Inspect finished work for accuracy, consistency, and product integrity.

•Operate splicing tools and production equipment safely and correctly.

•Maintain accurate production, material usage, and quality records.

•Identify and report equipment, material, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

•Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.

•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

•Assist with training new employees on proper splicing techniques and safety procedures.

•Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

•Consistently produce accurate, high-quality splices that meet established specifications.

•Maintain required production rates while minimizing errors and material waste.

•Follow all safety procedures and equipment-operating guidelines.

•Complete production records accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications


Education:


High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.


Experience:


•Previous splicing, machine-operating, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

•Previous experience working in a production environment is beneficial.

•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

•Ability to operate production tools and equipment safely.

Preferred Qualifications


•Previous experience with a ruler and a caliber. 

•Familiarity with manufacturing tools, equipment, and quality-inspection procedures.

•Experience in a manufacturing environment

Working Conditions


Available to work 1st shift 

Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment.

Employees may be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

 Employees must follow all required safety procedures and wear designated personal protective equipment.

The position may require lifting, bending, reaching, and handling production materials.
